I started putting up videos on Tiktok a few months ago and I just haven’t found my groove with it.
I think it’s because it’s not a smooth process for me to record video from my phone, edit it in Capcut on my PC, and then upload it to Tiktok.
So I was on Amazon a couple days ago and found the Osmo Pocket 3. Girl, I ain’t lyin’ when I say I fell in love.
It’s everything I didn’t know I needed! 📸✨
So what you’re watching is footage I took with the Osmo when Marty and I took Chance with us on a ride to the hardware store. 🏞️
To be fair, it’s a little bigger than the other models, but that’s because of the larger sensor, which means better quality videos. I’m good with that.
The screen is also way easier to use now.
And guess what?
Now if you had a Pocket 2, you were able to record in portrait mode and it stays in 4K.
That feature is still there! 🙌
Now, let’s talk sound.
The Mic2 in the creator combo kit is awesome. 🎤
It’s got 32-bit float and can be controlled by the camera for backup recording.
No more losing audio during those precious moments!
I remember once with my old Rode Wireless Go mic, I lost audio during a family party. That sucked.
But with the new built-in receiver, failed connections don’t really happen.
You even get a vibration alert if the mic doesn’t activate.
And can we talk about the cute tripod in the creator kit?
It’s so much easier to use, though a bit bigger than the Pocket 2’s.
But hey, it’s sturdy and reliable. 🌟
Just a heads-up, most accessories from the original Pocket or Pocket 2 won’t work with this unless they’re USB-C and don’t have specific mounts.
But the Pocket 2 tripod works fine! The improvements in tracking and low-light performance are just chef’s kiss. 👌🌙
Since I just got the creator combo kit yesterday, I’ve only used the tripod to prop up my Osmo while I upload the video files and the battery charges.
Seriously, having the Osmo 3 makes it so much easier to get footage at home and when I’m out and about.
I no feel the need to grab big heavy cameras and their attachments, or trying to fiddle with my phone to start recording.
