Dad, I Want To Hear Your Story

A Journal Gift

by Darlyn

I just wanted to share something really special with you that I stumbled upon on the other day. It’s this book called “Dad, I Want to Hear Your Story: A Father’s Guided Journal to Share His Life & His Love.” Honestly, it hit me right in the feels, and I just had to tell you about it.

I did a quick Tiktok video of it here.

So, it hits differently for me because I lost my dad a decade ago at the time of this writing. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I miss him and all the stories he used to tell. There are so many things I wish I had asked him, so many memories I wish I could relive through his words. That’s why finding this book was like a bittersweet punch to the gut.

The book is basically a guided journal with prompts that encourage dads to share their life stories, memories, and lessons. It’s like a treasure chest of personal history. I mean, how cool would it have been to have something like this filled out by my dad? It covers everything from childhood memories, family traditions, and life-changing moments to advice and wisdom for the future. It’s not just a journal; it’s a legacy.

What I love about it is that it’s super easy to follow. The prompts are straightforward and thoughtful, making it easy for anyone to start writing, even if they’re not naturally inclined to journal. And it’s not just about the big moments – it’s about the little ones too, the everyday stuff that makes up a life.

I can just imagine how amazing it would be to sit down with a cup of coffee and read through my dad’s stories, hearing his voice in my head with every word. I would have loved to know more about his childhood adventures, his dreams, his struggles, and all those quirky little things that made him who he was.

I really wish I had found this book while he was still around. It’s such a beautiful way to keep someone’s memory alive and to understand them on a deeper level. Plus, it’s a great way to preserve family history for future generations.

If your dad is still around, do yourself a favor and get this book for him. Trust me, you won’t regret it. It’s not just a gift for him – it’s a gift for you too. And if you’re like me and your dad is no longer here, maybe consider getting it for another father figure in your life. It’s a way to honor the past and cherish the present.

Anyway, I just thought you might find this as touching and meaningful as I did. Let me know if you decide to get it and what you think.

about me

I’m an introvert who loves nothing more than to watch a movie or TV show underneath a cozy blanket. I’m also a bit of a night owl, which means I’ll often stay up late into the wee hours of the morning, lost in the endless rabbit hole of internet surfing, watching movies, and creating stuff.
