Hey there, fellow pups and hoomans! It’s me, Chance, your favorite English Springer Spaniel, and I want to tell you about the new toy mom recently got me the Escaping Crab Crawling Dog Toy.
First things first, let’s talk about the looks. This crab toy is bright, colorful, and made me very curious when I first saw it. I didn’t know what the heck my mom was holding.
It’s got these buggy cartoony looking eyes that just beg to be chased. When my mom first put it on the floor, I thought, “What kind of sorcery is this?!” The crab started moving on its own, scuttling around like it’s trying to escape. And you know what? I HAD to chase it.
Check out the Tiktok video my mom posted of me playing with my toy for the first time.
The toy’s movement is absolutely claw-some. It darts around in all directions, and just when you think you’ve got it cornered, WHOOSH! Off it goes again. It’s like playing hide and seek but with a sneaky crustacean. I spent a lot of time trying to outsmart this thing, and it kept me on my paws the whole time. Talk about a great workout for a chunky boi like me!
Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty: durability. I’m a pretty energetic dog (when I’m not sleeping the day away), and I tend to go a bit wild with my toys. Mom hasn’t let me go wild with it because Grandpa was watching me and he doesn’t like when I go crazy with my toys. I’ll update my review when he’s at one of his doctor appointments. I have a stinkin’ suspicion that it won’t hold up to my rough play.
One of the coolest features of this toy is the way it reacts. It’s got these sensors that make it change direction when it bumps into something. So, if it hits a wall or one of my dad’s boots (oops!), it just scuttles off in a new direction. It’s like it knows I’m coming for it and tries to get away!
My mom loves that it’s interactive and keeps me entertained, so it’s going to be great for those rainy Washington days when I can’t go outside to play in the grass. Plus, it’s USB rechargeable, so Mom can hook it up to her computer. Just plug it in, let it charge, and we’re back to the chase!
I didn’t care for the music so my mom kept that setting off for me.
Overall, I think the Escaping Crab Crawling Dog Toy is fun and keeps me on my paws! 🐾 It’s entertaining, durable, and keeps my brain and body active. Honestly, I think the toy is best for small dogs and toddlers, not 90 lb dogs like me (I was the biggest of my litter) who like to play rough.
Woof out!
